InterContinental Hotels Group

Go Green IT provided contractors to IHG for 2nd and 3rd-line IT support as part of the internal help desk.

The contractors were able to give support for IHG's internal applications, as well as fix MS Windows, MS Office and general networking problems.

Holland & Barrett

Go Green IT provided a contractor for project co-ordination to help with migrating file servers from Windows 2003 and Mac OSX Server to Windows 2012, as well as general 2nd and 3rd line support. A Managed File Transfer system was configured for 3rd party use.

Hilton Conrad St. James, London

Go Green IT was engaged to help with AD Domain Migration, GPO creation and general server maintenance. Guidance was given on hardware for a Hyper-V deployment, and P2V tasks were performed to archive old application and database servers. MDT, WDS and WSUS infrastructure was created to make a standard build for Windows 7 and 10, together with a way to deploy standard software and patches. Solarwinds NPM and other modules were installed and configured to provide monitoring for all their systems. Specific systems were virtualised when required.

Talk Talk

Vulnerability Scanning was provided for one of their datacenters, which was completed successfully and ahead of schedule.

Healthcare at Home

A contractor was provided to help with the rollout of WAN, LAN and Storage & Compute projects around the country, together with an office move to new premises.

Splendid Hospitality Group

Go Green IT was originally tasked with project managing and implementing a PMS migration from Hotel Perfect to Opera Hosted at short notice. This was successful and other projects were offered. Audits for assetting purposes were done at various locations. A portable Windows deployment system was configured, and desktop and networking hardware was replaced at one site and user training given, as a potential pilot for other locations.

Deloitte

A contactor was provided to the Security Operations Centre to fill in for BAU, which included managing SSL certificates, keeping Service Now inventory up-to-date, and writing technical change requests for the firewall team.

Marriott Europe

Two contractors were provided to Marriott for various projects since 2017. These included:

  • Migrating European Starwood hotel network devices, servers and end user equipment to the Marriott standard
  • Migrating all European Managed hotels to use LDAP (Active Directory) for PMS logins instead of local application logins
  • On-site help to open a new Autograph Hotel in Valencia
  • Project planning to migrate 73 AC Hotels to the Marriott standard
  • On-site help to migrate various AC Hotels in Spain to the Marriott standard
  • On-site help in Stockholm to decomission a hotel that was converting to a franchise
  • On-site help in Berlin, Madrid & Rome for new hotels

Oadby & Wigston Borough Council

Two contractors were provided to the local authority to help in-source IT from an under-performing 3rd party.

They configured new network, server and desktop hardware, set up a new Active Directory system, firewalls, site to site VPNs to other institutions, and project managed the migration of ~50 servers from the 3rd party to the in-house hardware.

Temporary network hardware was also provided to aid the network migration so new hardware was not required.

The whole system was documented, and training was given to the permanent employees who would be taking over.
